The short version
- This site has no accounts or forms. We don’t use visitor analytics or advertising trackers.
- Cloudflare (our host) and Google Fonts process technical information, such as your IP address, when you visit. Cloudflare may set necessary security cookies.
- If you email us, we use your message to answer you and, where relevant, to understand product needs.
- Our media tool connects to SUNVEX’s own social accounts. It doesn’t ask for access to your accounts or messages.
What this site collects
We don’t ask you to submit personal information through this site. There is nothing to sign up for, no form to fill in and no comment box.
The site remembers one thing in your own browser: that you have already seen the opening animation, so it doesn’t play again on every page. This is kept in your browser’s session storage and is never sent to us. It lasts for the browser’s page session, which may survive if your browser restores tabs.
What our service providers see
Cloudflare hosts this site. Like any web host, it processes your IP address, browser details and the pages you request, so it can deliver the site, keep it secure and spot errors. Your browser may also send Cloudflare a short report if a page fails to load. Cloudflare may set necessary security cookies when it checks for automated traffic, and it runs a small script on our contact page that hides our email address from spam robots. Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on our pages. When your browser downloads them, Google receives your IP address and browser details. See Google’s privacy policy.
These providers run services around the world, so this information may be processed outside Australia.
When you email us
If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use your message to respond to you and, where you tell us about a need or a tool you wish existed, to understand what products people need. We don’t add you to a mailing list. We keep correspondence for as long as we need it to answer you and keep a record of what was said.
Our email is hosted by Zoho. We also keep local copies of correspondence for our internal workflow. Our AI employees may help us sort messages and draft replies, so your message may be processed by the AI service our team runs on (Anthropic’s Claude), which may process it outside Australia.
Our videos and social accounts
We link to SUNVEX’s accounts on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X and Threads, and we also have a Facebook Page. When you watch, follow, like or comment there, that platform’s own terms and privacy policy apply, and the platform decides what it collects. As the account owner, we see what those platforms show any account owner: comments, the public names shown with them, and overall statistics.
Our media tool and platform APIs
SUNVEX uses a small internal app called “SUNVEX media tool”. It signs in only to SUNVEX’s own YouTube channel, Facebook Page, Instagram account, Threads account and X account, through the official Google (YouTube), Meta and X APIs. Today it connects these accounts and reads posts and comments on SUNVEX’s Facebook Page and Instagram account; publishing, statistics and the other comment features are planned. It is limited to these uses:
- publish our own videos and posts;
- read statistics for our own channel and posts, such as views, watch time and followers;
- read the comments people leave on our own videos and posts, and reply to them.
It does not request access to your accounts or your private messages. It may read comments you leave on our posts, together with the public name, comment ID and time shown with them. A comment can contain personal information you choose to write in it.
SUNVEX’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use information from these APIs only for the purposes above. We don’t sell it, share it for anyone else’s use, or use it for advertising.
The media tool uses YouTube API Services, which are covered by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google’s privacy policy. By using SUNVEX media tool, its operator agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Access the tool has to a Google account can be withdrawn at any time from Google’s security settings.
Removing your data. Deleting your comment on the platform removes it there. To have any copy we hold removed as well, email us; for information that came from YouTube, we delete it within seven days of your request. We refresh or delete other stored YouTube information within 30 days.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] with “Privacy” in the subject line. We aim to reply within 30 days (seven days for deleting YouTube information, as above).
Australian privacy law
We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy concern, you may also be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect or how we use it changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
